Description and photo of Kalanchoe degremon
Kalanchoe is a flower that looks like a standing bush. The approximate height of an adult plant is about 50-70 cm.
The main feature of the Kalanchoe is the stem. It is quite thick and powerful. It will be very problematic to break it. If you are growing a flower at home, then you will need to build a support for the stem. It is necessary so that it does not bend and has the correct shape.
The main characteristics of Kalanchoe leaves:
- shape – triangular;
- length – about 20 cm;
- color – gray-green.
There are buds at the edges of each leaf. It is from them that the “babies” of the plant begin to develop. With their help, you can easily propagate a flower at home.
Another feature of this plant is its healing properties. It has powerful antiviral effects. It also helps to restore strength and strengthen the human immune system.
Proper care of Kalanchoe degremon
This is an unpretentious houseplant that does not require constant and frequent attention to itself. Even a novice florist can cope with Kalanchoe without any problems. The most important thing is not to forget the main conditions for caring for Kalanchoe degremon, which are standard for most plants.
The main aspects of care:
- In the hot season, the flower needs intensive watering, and in winter, on the contrary, it needs to be reduced. In order to prevent various fungi and insects from appearing in the soil, the soil should not be too moistened. Watering once a week is ideal for a flower.
- The plant loves bright sunlight. But direct sunlight can harm the flower, so the pot should be placed in a well-lit place, but not directly in the sun.
- The flower does not need constant pruning. This procedure is only necessary to stimulate the plant. Pruning can only be done after the plant has finished flowering.
For normal growth and development, the soil should consist of the following components in equal proportions (1: 1: 1):
- humus;
- leafy land;
- sand.
Sometimes peat and coarse sand are added to the ground, but this is not at all necessary. The flower will feel good without these components.
An undemanding Kalanchoe is suitable for novice growers. It will perfectly fit into the interior of any home due to its compact size.
