The author of the book himself repeatedly struggled with kilograms and could not cope with them. What he lost weight came back. He started over, got discouraged, and started again. He was a specialist in the field of ineffective weight loss. As a trainer, he finally decided to analyze his approach to weight loss and found a mistake in his approach to losing weight. The analysis of previous weight loss attempts was unsuccessful. He didn’t find the mistake he has to make every time.

A completely random situation not related to weight loss: the situation of “releasing” a seized screw in a friend’s motorcycle gave him food for thought and suggested how to effectively fight kilograms.

Philosophy of “small steps” – Kaizen

So losing weight without effort? Yes, it is possible, although it will take a little longer than most people who are slimming, especially at the start of the diet, would like it. Most often, we approach losing weight in the following way: at the beginning I have a lot of mobilization, so I am ready for many sacrifices and sufferings, but with time I will want to let go, because I will not eat like this all my life. This is a fundamental mistake. Scheduling an overly ambitious lifestyle change to start is often a killer for our motivation. The effort made is usually much higher than the expected effect. It is discouraging and despite the weight loss, we are returning to the old lifestyle, because the new one was too much of a shock for us.

Losing weight starts in the head

I always tell my clients that you need to prepare yourself in your head for losing weight. Do it in small steps. So small that they will not be so noticeable in everyday life. After all, I can say to myself: “I will not eat sweets 3 times a day, only once a day”. Can I do this for such a short time? Why should I not give? When the 1 days go by, I summarize: it was not that bad, I can try another 3 days or reduce the daily amount of sweets, etc., until I come to the conclusion that sometimes I can do it even without sweets and I do not miss them.

The book “Lose Weight with Kaizen” can help you remodel your weight loss thinking and approach. This is a book for people who want to take weight loss seriously, but slowly and patiently. The author does not discover America. However, often the simplest solutions seem unworthy of our attention. We’re always in a rush, and this book shows how important it is to slow down and find out why I’m fat, what goals to set, and how to change your lifestyle to feel good.
