K-Vitum is a dietary food for special medical purposes containing vitamin K. The supplement is recommended in the prevention of vitamin K deficiency disease in breastfeeding newborns and infants from 8 days of age to 3 months of age. Vitamin K contained in the product affects the proper blood clotting. The preparation is available in two forms: as drops squeezed from twist-off capsules or as oral drops.

K-Vitum is a preparation recommended in dietary management:
- in the lack of vitamin K,
- in the prevention of vitamin K deficiency disease in breastfed newborns and infants from 8 days of age to 3 months of age.
K – Vitum and contraindications
Contraindications to the use of K-Vitum are:
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
- should not be used parenterally.
Dosage of the preparation
K-Vitum is in the form of drops squeezed out of capsules. You should twist the tip of the capsule and tear off, and then squeeze the content of 1 capsule into the previously downloaded mother’s milk or directly into the baby’s mouth. When administering the supplement, be especially careful so that the child does not swallow the capsule.
- Newborns from 8 days of age and infants up to 3 months of age, breastfed: 25 mg (the content of 1 capsule being opened) once a day.
- Preparation in the form of oral drops: 25 µg, ie 10 drops into the expressed mother’s milk or directly into the child’s mouth once a day.
K-Vitum – warnings
- You should take K-Vitum under medical supervision.
- There is no information on the effect of the supplement on the ability to drive and use machines.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose of K-Vitum.
