Juvit K for vitamin K and D3 deficiencies. How to dose a medical preparation?

JUvit K is a dietary food for special medical purposes containing vitamin K. The active substance of the product is vitamin K and vitamin D3. They condition the proper blood clotting and help in the proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus. The preparation should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Before using the preparation in pregnant women and during breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted. The preparation is available in the form of oral drops with a dosing pump.

Juvit K – indications

Juvit K is a supplement recommended in dietary management:

  1. in breastfed newborns,
  2. in infants from 2 weeks of age to 3 months of age.

Juvit K and contraindications

Contraindications to taking Juvit K are:

  1. hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
  2. parenteral use.

Dosage of the preparation

Juvit K comes in the form of drops for oral use. The package comes with a dosing pump that allows you to properly measure the dose. Unscrew the cap from the bottle, remove the securing ring, and then screw on the dosing pump.

Newborns from 2 weeks of age and infants up to 3 months of age

  1. breastfed: 25 µg, i.e. 2 presses (as far as possible) of the dosing pump once a day or 1 µg, i.e.
  2. 1 pressing (as far as possible) the dosing pump 2 times a day, into the expressed mother’s milk or directly into the baby’s mouth.

  1. Store the product out of the reach of small children.
  2. Store the preparation in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees Celsius.
  3. The preparation should be used within 1 month after opening the package.
