The August heat, combined with unusual radiation, brings thousands of the dead back to life. Defenseless in the face of the law and those around them, they want only one thing: to return home. However, what to do in this situation alive: to take «nice bones» under their own roof or cruelly push away those who were so dear to them? In allegorical form, Jun Lindqvist puts every person in front of a dilemma: what to prefer — the past or the future? The answer is obvious, but making a choice in a situation where the past is not an empty abstraction, but a brother or a little son who has risen from the grave, is not at all as easy as it might seem.
