Julia Roberts: life is beautiful!

Julia is the perfect embodiment of the American Dream. A smiling provincial waitress suddenly becomes a star. And her character from the film “Pretty Woman” is still considered one of the most romantic and sexy in the history of Hollywood. But fabulous incomes, crowds of fans and superstar status did not spoil the actress.

These qualities are perfectly reflected in the advertising of the fragrance La vie est belle, Lancôme, where Julia, smiling, says that life is beautiful. And we believe her. How else?

About idols. “Since childhood, I have been following the work of Meryl Streep, I have not missed a single film with her. I always dreamed of meeting her live, playing on the same platform. And it succeeded on the set of “August: Osage County.” And there I yell at Meryl, humiliate and even beat. For me, it was terrible – how is it to hit Meryl Streep! But she didn’t bat an eyelash, a true professional.”

About youth. “I’m 47. I don’t run to hide the signs of age to a plastic surgeon. Once I tried Botox – it’s terrible. The children did not understand whether I was angry or glad, and there was no question of acting! Now my recipe for youth is a smile and cream Absolue L’Extrait, Lancôme, with rose extract. In the evenings I do facial massages with him.”

About punctuality. “I am proud that I am never late. The family is used to the fact that I get up first and collect the children for school, but my friends are not averse to joking about it. On the set of Ocean’s Eleven, George Clooney barricaded my door early in the morning with giant potted trees. Naturally, I was late to the site! And he pretended that he had nothing to do with it, and all day he scolded for being late.

About the French. “I discovered the secret of their legendary elegance while dining with Anouk Aimé. She wore a simple white shirt and trousers, no elaborate makeup. Anouk did not make a single superfluous gesture, but everyone looked only at her. So I realized that the main thing is harmony with yourself.”

About pleasant things. “Thanks to our collaboration with Lancôme, I have the opportunity to travel to Paris every year to meet with the creative team. I take my husband and children with me, it has become our family tradition. We ride the carousel at the Eiffel Tower, go to small shops and walk around the city for hours.”

With aromas. “I like to repeat that happiness is not in money or fame, but in the little things that bring joy and in pleasant memories. La vie est belle fully lives up to its name – I inhale it and remember the vanilla cookies that children love to bake. And I feel absolutely happy.”
