Jubilee

Two well-known cognac companies produce drinks under this brand – KVINT in Moldova and Shustoff in Ukraine. The first cognac, or rather divin, was produced by the Tiraspol factory under this name in 1982. It was the year of the sixtieth anniversary of the USSR, the drink was named in honor of the anniversary. The blend of Moldovan cognac consists of 12 spirits aged for twenty years. Odessa “Jubilee” appeared on the eve of the Millennium – in 1999. The blend uses cognac distillates aged from ten to fifteen years.

These are two dissimilar drinks with a different history and different organoleptic characteristics.

About manufacturers

The Tiraspol Wine and Cognac Factory was founded in 1897, but at first only grape vodka was made here from local wine materials. Divins, as Moldovans call their cognacs, began to be produced only before the Second World War – in 1938, oak barrels were filled with the first cognac distillates and sent for aging. The company has its own vineyards on two thousand hectares, and 12 million liters of cognac spirits aged from one to sixty years are stored and aged in the cellars. KVINT annually produces 20 million bottles of alcohol, including 30 kinds of divins.

The Yubileiny brand of the Odessa cognac factory Shustov belongs to the largest Eastern European alcohol holding Global Spirits. The head office of the company is located in Kiev, and its branch in New York. In addition to Shustoff drinks, the Odessa Cognac Factory produces Chaika, Desna, Odessa cognacs, known since the times of the USSR, and new brands – Golden Duke, Yubileiny and Zhvanetsky. In total, there are 21 trademarks in the brand case of Global Spirits. The holding’s products are exported to 88 countries of the world, the highest demand is for vodka “Khortitsa”, the highest level of sales is in the United States.

Characteristics of cognac Jubilee

KVINT “Jubilee” (40%). Cognac class XO (Extra Old). The blend uses alcohols with a pronounced aroma of cognac oil – enanth ester. This drink is the color of old gold, with a tart resinous-enanthic aroma and a complex taste with hints of cocoa, raisins and prunes. Served as a digestif. Combines with fruits, chocolate desserts and coffee.

Jubilee

Shustoff “Jubilee” (43%) — cognac of deep tea color with golden tints, created from cognac distillates aged for at least ten years in light Hungarian oak barrels. For spirits, varieties of white grapes grown on the vineyards of the Odessa region belonging to the plant were used. This is a strong drink – the alcohol content in it is slightly higher than the usual 40%, which is typical for small French enterprises in the Cognac region. Subtle aroma with notes of violet, vanilla, grapes and cocoa. Harmonious taste with vanilla-chocolate shades and unexpectedly tart warm aftertaste. Recommended by restaurateurs as a digestif, combined with fruits, coffee and white grapes. Serving temperature +19-20 °C.
