Jojoba oil for face care. Video
Today more and more women prefer cosmetics with natural ingredients. Among them, a special place is occupied by jojoba oil, known for a number of valuable properties. Enriching cosmetics with this oil helps to eliminate redness and flaking of the skin, its flabbiness, dryness, and even makes scars and stretch marks less noticeable.
Jojoba is a branched evergreen shrub native to the North American deserts. Jojoba also grows successfully in Mexico and Arizona. As for China, and the scientific name of this shrub is Simmóndsia chinénsis, you will not find it here: the conditions, climate and soil are not right.
The value of jojoba lies in its oil, which is produced by cold pressing from the seeds. They have been collected by hand for centuries. And even today, in order not to damage the seed nuts during the harvest, they did not change traditions. Everything, as before, is done by hand.
The plant itself and its healing properties were discovered in the eighteenth century of the last century by European explorers and missionaries who found themselves in the Sonoran Desert, which is located in Mexico, on the coast of the Gulf of California. The news of the miracle oil, which can not only heal wounds, but also solve many other problems of the skin and hair, was met with interest not only in Europe.
As Jesuit father Javier Clavijero wrote in his book “History of California”, published in 1789, among the Indians of Baja California, jojoba oil replaced an honorable place in their “first aid kits”. It was used to heal wounds, to relieve stomach pains, to relieve pain in women in labor, and was renowned as one of the best laxatives. This magic oil was also successfully used in cooking. Salads were seasoned with it, added to various dishes, and olives were replaced with seeds, fried jojoba nuts were added to national drinks. Chinese Simmondsia oil was also actively used for cosmetic purposes, for example, it served as an excellent hair care product.
The composition of jojoba oil is very rich: liquid esters of wax, ethyl alcohol, fatty acids
The valuable properties of jojoba were known far beyond the limits of its growth. For example, studies by historians who have studied the Egyptian pyramids suggest that jojoba oil was used not only by the Californian Indians, but also by the Egyptian pharaohs. It should be noted that samples of this amazing oil have not lost their valuable properties for many centuries.
In terms of biochemical properties, jojoba oil is similar to spermaceti, an extract obtained from whale sperm. But at the same time it is cheaper to manufacture
Jojoba oil in cosmetology
Jojoba oil is probably the only one that is very resistant to oxidation. Therefore, it is widely used in cosmetic products – hair, face and hand care products, in the manufacture of caring and moisturizing creams.
The odorless jojoba oil allows it to be mixed with any other oil. And its antioxidant property promotes long-term storage even for homemade products.
The oil quickly penetrates deep into the pores of the skin, providing it with moisture and nourishment, keeping it youthful and elastic longer. Therefore, products with jojoba oil are excellent for the care of the face, neck and décolleté. You can also make them at home. At the same time, they will be no worse than those that you get in pharmacies and stores.

It is also helpful to wipe your face with a cotton swab dipped in jojoba oil twice a day. Oil for these purposes can be used both in pure and diluted in equal proportions with any other base oil.
For dry, inflamed skin, it is recommended to use jojoba oil with 1-2 drops of orange essential oil. After shaving, solarium, bath, shower, oil will also help, with the oils of lemon, orange, lavender added to it.
In the fight against scars, loss of skin elasticity, jojoba oil will also come to the rescue. It is especially effective when you add a few drops of rosemary, mint, orange or lemon oils to it.
