“I’ll start on Monday!” These and thousands of other excuses prevent us from losing weight, playing sports, starting to follow a diet. It is not for nothing that even the coolest and most enduring yogis often joke: “The most difficult thing is to spread the rug.” So how do you really beat yourself up and go for a run or workout at the gym?
Especially for Woman’s Day, fitness trainer and nutritionist Oksana Dolgikh collected tips and secrets from those who succeeded!
1. Be realistic
Are you a lark or an owl? Do not heroically set yourself an unattainable goal of getting up early and romantic jogging if you start to feel cheerful closer to lunch. It is necessary to accept your body and act, taking into account its activity. Owls are best practiced in the afternoon or evening. And remember, any short run or short hike to the gym is better than nothing.
2. Exercise in a beautiful
The acquisition of a beautiful and comfortable shape, as well as various accessories will add incentive. But it is better to forget about makeup and perfumes during training, because they only distract from the main tasks. But then, after a refreshing shower, all these cute feminine things will only cheer you up.
3. Be in your place
Spend a little time looking for a gym where you will be comfortable in terms of price-quality-comfort-professionalism. For jogging, you also need to find your pleasant place, be it a park, a forest path or an embankment.
4. Invite a comrade
If you are a sociable person and it is a little difficult for you to study alone, then you can train with a friend or girlfriend. Motivating each other is much easier! In addition, it is more fun to follow a diet together.
5. Review your diet
By that very cherished “Monday”, or better today, make a complete and merciless audit in the refrigerator and feel free to get rid of harmful products! Everything is only fresh and natural. Remember, sports nutrition starts with going to the market or grocery store and steaming. The principle of separate healthy eating is the best and no temporary rigid diet can compare with this.

6. Find your motivation
Everyone has their own incentive for exercising – photographs and achievements of friends or fitness models, tracking their results every one to two weeks, etc. Choose one or combine your motivations and take action!
7. Choose a sport you like
Jogging in the park, crossfit, group fitness, zumba, dancing, water aerobics, powerlifting, swimming … the list is endless. Try different directions and choose what suits you best! The main thing is not to lose active positions.
8. Call a professional for help
Do not be afraid to ask the coaches for advice in the gym, they are there not for beauty, but for the good of the cause! If the gym has become your sport of choice, then hire a trainer to avoid injury and mistakes. On the way to the desired forms, he will become your faithful friend and support.
If you have never run before, then for the preservation of the knee joints and in order to avoid all kinds of colic in the side, you must carefully read the running technique or ask those who have been doing it for a long time. It is very easy to find them in parks.
BTW
In St. Petersburg, free running trainings take place every Saturday in Victory Park. Classes are conducted by a professional trainer. Gathering of participants at 11:00 next to the skate park, opposite the house number 42 on Kuznetsovskaya street. Details
9. Pamper yourself
Relax once or twice a week in the sauna, have a massage on the day you relax from your classes, or some other pleasant procedure. Your body and skin will be grateful to you. Sweets, it’s a pleasant thing, but it’s better to be extremely careful with them. Make it a rule not to reward yourself with a treat.
10. Set affordable goals
Reach them and put new, more complex ones. This way you will not lose your enthusiasm. Don’t chase after anyone, listen to yourself, but keep discipline. No one knows with what work and sacrifice the eminent fitness stars achieved success. A park or gym is not a place to fight, but a place for physical self-improvement.
