Jodi Gel 10% is an antiseptic for skin disinfection and wound disinfection. It is indicated in decontamination of wounds: primary or secondary local skin infections, in vaginitis and in oral cavity infections. The substance contained in the gel is iodine with polyvinylpyrrolidone, which primarily has a disinfecting effect, and its properties also include bacteria and fungi. Jodi Gel 10% is an over-the-counter medicine.

Jodli Gel 10% to prepare polecany:

Dosage
Jodi Gel 10% should be applied topically to the skin and mucous membranes. Apply a thin layer of the preparation to the injured area.
Jodi Gel 10% and contraindications
Contraindications to the use of Jodi Gel 10% are:
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
- thyroid disease,
- Cushing’s disease
- pregnancy,
- the period of breastfeeding.
Jodi Gel 10% – warnings
- Do not use Jodi Gel 10% in children under 11 years of age without prior medical consultation.
- The use of the drug and contamination of stool and urine samples with the preparation may affect the results of laboratory tests such as thyroid function or false positive results of tests for occult blood in the feces.
Jodi Gel 10% with other drugs
Do not use Jodi Gel 10% at the same time with mercury compounds and taurolidone.
Jodi Gel 10% – side effects
When using Jodi Gel 10% for too long or applying it to large areas of the skin, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism may develop.
There may also be:
- a metallic taste in the mouth,
- drooling, irritation or pulmonary edema
- diarrhea,
- metabolic acidosis,
- increase in the amount of sodium in the blood
- kidney problems.

- allergic reactions,
and:
- in pregnant and breast-feeding women, the development and function of the thyroid gland may be disturbed,
- in newborns and infants, due to the absorption of iodine through the skin, metabolic acidosis, neutropenia, hypothyroidism may occur,
