Jiu-jitsu for children: Japanese wrestling, martial arts, classes
It is believed that to win a duel requires precision and power of punches, but in this martial art the opposite is true. The name jiu-jitsu comes from the word “ju” soft, flexible, pliable. Jiu-jitsu training for children allows you to develop dexterity, strength, the ability to stand up for yourself – wonderful qualities that will be useful to everyone.
Exercise will help the child’s body to get stronger. Even if the child was born small and weak, but the parents want changes for the better, they can safely bring him into this type of martial arts from 5-6 years old.
The Japanese Jiu-Jitsu technique trains all muscle groups. The fight is going in full force, without limitation, therefore all physical qualities are required – flexibility, strength, speed, endurance. All this is developed gradually through long training sessions.
Brazilian wrestling, which is a form of Jiu-Jitsu originating in Japan, also requires high coordination of movements for accurate throws. Therefore, children who are engaged in this type of martial arts are dexterous and know how to quickly navigate in a dangerous situation. In ordinary life, wrestling techniques can be effectively used for self-defense. Although originally jiu-jitsu is a martial art, it can be successfully used when you need to repel an unexpected attack on the street by hooligans.
Description of Jiu-Jitsu classes
The uniqueness of jiu-jitsu is that the focus is on positional wrestling. The goal of the fight is to take a good position and make a painful or chokehold technique that will force the opponent to surrender.
The form for training should be special, made of cotton, soft material. It is called “gi” or “know gi” in professional language.
Jiu-jitsu has its own rules that a child must not break – one must not bite or scratch. Depending on the color of the belt, one or another technique is allowed or prohibited.
