Italian grape ale

Original Italian alcohol, beer and wine mariage. Taste and other characteristics are largely determined by the variety of grapes used. The wine profile harmoniously complements the malt character, but does not drown it out, the hops are almost not felt, but sometimes manifested by weak tones of the farmstead.

Fruity notes can be felt in the bouquet, a slight sourness, but the roasted character is contrary to the style standards. With aging, it acquires the nuances of oak. Light tones of diacetyl are present.

The color varies in reddish tones, from light amber to chestnut. Thanks to grapes, it forms a pinkish, unstable foam.

The drink is noticeably carbonized, light or medium-bodied, aromatic. Usually quite dry, alcohol is manifested by pleasant warmth. Italian grape ale is made with pale malt or pils, and special varieties and unmalted ingredients may be added. The mass fraction of grapes reaches 40%, this component is added at any stage of production, depending on the brand. Wine or ale yeast is used, hop varieties are at the discretion of the manufacturer, but their quantity should be minimal.
