Recipes for honey hair masks

We immediately warn you that honey, although a wonderful product, is a strong allergen. Test it before applying it to your scalp, and if you have ever had an allergic reaction to honey, refrain from using it as part of a mask.

For hair growth

A mask for hair growth with honey is prepared on the basis of special oils that are used to combat hair loss: burdock, castor oil, usma oil. Take any of them or mix in equal proportions. The dose can be adjusted depending on the thickness of the hair.

So, we take 3 tablespoons of oil, mix it with honey, heat it to body temperature in a water bath, apply it on the scalp, leave it for half an hour, you can put on a cap on top. Wash off with shampoo.

Before applying the mask, it is useful to massage the head to improve microcirculation.

For dry hair

In a mask for dry hair, honey is combined with coconut (or olive) oil, you need to mix the ingredients in a 2: 1 ratio and oil your hair well with a warm mixture. Leave for an hour, covered with a cap and a towel – the hair will become soft, elastic.

For shine hair

For hair shine, ingredients are usually used that contain acid – it closes the cuticle of the hair, making it more shiny. Dairy products go well with honey.

Mix about 150 g of yogurt (curdled milk, matsoni) with a tablespoon of olive oil and 1-2 tablespoons of honey. Apply to hair, remove under a cap for 10-20 minutes, rinse. In the finale, you can rinse your hair with a decoction of chamomile – it will give a golden sheen to natural blond or light blond hair.

Moisturizing

A good moisturizing hair mask can be prepared from honey, banana (moisturizes, rich in trace elements) and olive oil (source of vitamin E, nourishes hair, adds shine and elasticity). Mix one ripe (!) banana with a tablespoon of oil and two tablespoons of honey, apply the puree to your hair and leave it under a cap for an hour.

For oily hair

This mask for oily hair focuses on the balancing and antiseptic properties of honey. The basis of the mask is aloe vera gel – a moisturizing, but not oily component that suits any type of hair. Take a couple of tablespoons of aloe gel and add one tablespoon of honey. Leave on the roots for half an hour before washing your hair.

Fortification

The firming mask can be applied along the entire length – from roots to ends. As is often the case in masks for this purpose, it contains a popular in folk cosmetic art and a very useful ingredient rich in fats, amino acids, and protein – an egg.

To prepare the mask, you need to beat two eggs (only yolks are allowed), add three tablespoons of honey and a tablespoon of olive oil (optional). Apply it evenly on your hair and leave for half an hour.

Nutritious

Take a ripe avocado, mash with a fork until mashed, add a tablespoon of honey and any oil of your choice. Leave the composition on wet hair for an hour, and after rinsing, enjoy the results of homemade “honey restoration” of hair: softness, obedience, shine. You can read about the benefits of avocado for hair in this article.

Restorative

Another restorative mask with honey consists of a fatty fermented milk product – sour cream (nourishes and adds shine), egg yolk (strengthens, prevents brittleness) and oil: coconut (for thick, coarse, porous hair), avocado or olive (if the hair is thin or medium thickness).

You need to mix 3 tablespoons of sour cream and one tablespoon of other ingredients.

Important! This mask is applied to dry hair and left for 30-40 minutes before washing.
