Like almost all fruits, pineapples are rich in simple sugars and vitamin C. In addition, they contain organic acids, copper and potassium compounds, as well as the extremely important bromelain. It has anti-swelling and anti-inflammatory properties. In medicine, bromelain is mainly used for:

We will often find this ingredient in enzyme peels, because bromelain removes dead skin without irritating the skin, as well as creams and lotions, because it has anti-inflammatory properties. Pineapple extract is also contained in cosmetics that eliminate discoloration, cracking skin around the nails and those that are intended for couperose skin.

Pineapple good for slimming and mass

In addition to its medicinal properties, bromelain has a great slimming effect because it supports metabolic processes. It can therefore be used as a support during a diet, both due to the source of natural origin (so it will not be harmful) and effective action. Bromelain definitely improves metabolism, which is of great importance in the process of fat burning.

In addition, this enzyme reduces heartburn, relieves various stomach ailments, and in addition it can break down a thousand times more protein than it weighs (!). It can be used in the case of constipation and flatulence (it will work especially when we eat pineapple raw).

In pharmacies you will find many dietary supplements with bromelain content. This ingredient is also a booster for athletes, because it increases the assimilation of proteins, i.e. muscle building material. Bromelain therefore helps to increase muscle mass.
