Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder that manifests itself before the age of four. In Poland, autism affects one in one hundred children. The symptoms of the disease are usually associated with the inability to play with other children and a disturbed relationship with adults. This year, for the 11th time, we celebrate the World Autism Awareness Day established by the United Nations. Despite the efforts of many scientists from around the world, we still do not know the causes of this complex disorder.
