There’s a reason to skip a bracing drink in the morning.
It’s hard to imagine how many people start their day with a cup of freshly brewed coffee. For some, this is not just a quick way to cheer up, but a whole ritual that is impossible to do without. Recently, news appeared that upset all coffee lovers: it turned out that morning is not the most favorable time for a coffee ceremony.
Yes, in films, characters always go to work with a glass of coffee, but in real life, long queues line up in coffee houses in the morning.
However, the invigorating drink has features that no one knows about. A serving of your favorite espresso, latte, or Americano can be harmful to your body, especially if you drink coffee on an empty stomach or with breakfast.
“Coffee interferes with the absorption of minerals such as iron, zinc, magnesium and calcium. These minerals are fundamental for both women’s and men’s health, ”said nutritionist Margarita Koroleva.
But do not rush to get upset: you will not have to give up coffee for good. To avoid negative health effects of the drink, consume it between meals, ideally at intervals.
“This should happen at least half an hour before meals or at least an hour after meals,” Margarita added in an interview with Radio Sputnik. If you manage to adhere to a certain coffee “schedule”, coffee will give you only useful properties and will not disturb the mineral balance.
