Can Rutinoscorbin be used during pregnancy? Is it worth taking Rutinoscorbin every day during the infectious period? In what doses can you take Rurtinoscorbin? The question is answered by the drug. Paweł Żmuda-Trzebiatowski.
Can Rutinoscorbin be used during pregnancy?
Hello. I am 39 years old and 30 weeks pregnant. From the beginning, the pregnancy has been going well, but all the pregnancy symptoms seem to be increased, my immunity has dropped a lot and unfortunately I often get an infection, and since I have a 7-year-old son, she brings me a flu from school, and this is a cold. It’s fall so it’s time to get infected and I wonder if I can take Rutinoscorbin every day? Throughout my pregnancy, I take vitamins and supplements for pregnant women that have been recommended by the gynecologist in charge of my pregnancy, but these are vitamins that support the body’s work, not immunity.
I think Rutinoscorbin could be a good option, but I’m not sure Rutinoscorbin is safe for pregnant women. There are over two weeks until the next follow-up visit, so a lot of time and I would like to know if I can take Rutinoscorbin, if so, in what doses and with what frequency. I will only add that so far my pregnancy tests, i.e. urine morphology and analysis, have been positive, with no abnormalities. I am asking for a reliable indication of what I should do.
The doctor explains whether Rutinoscorbin is safe during pregnancy
Dear Madam, Rutinoscorbin is not contraindicated in pregnancy, but please remember that there is no such thing as a completely safe drug, especially for pregnant women. If you already use vitamins and other dietary supplements recommended by your attending physician, there is no indication that you should additionally use Rutinoscorbin. Please note that the opinion about Rutinoscorbin boosting immunity is greatly exaggerated.
Vitamin C does not protect against infections and does not strengthen immunity. It also does not shorten the duration of the infection. Connection ascorbic acid with rutoside has a positive effect on blood vessel sealing and prevents vitamin C deficiency. This is where the action of this drug ends. So if you noticed a decrease in immunity, please consult your gynecologist. It would be good to do some basic laboratory tests. I do not recommend adding more vitamins, supplements or medications without consulting the attending physician, especially since supplements for pregnant women contain all the necessary vitamins, including vitamin C.
