What is Pernazine? Is taking pernasin harmful? Is this substance addictive? What negative side effects can it cause? Is it worth using pernazine? The question is answered by the drug. Paweł Żmuda-Trzebiatowski.
Is the use of pernasin harmful to humans?
Good day. My name is Grzegorz and I am 36 years old. I had been very nervous for a long time, everything was annoying and irritating me. I also felt such an inner anxiety, constant apathy, nothing pleased me, quite the opposite. It started to tire me terribly, so I went to the doctor, he diagnosed me with neurosis. He immediately prescribed pernazine for me to take, namely the drug Pernazinum 25 mg.
Honestly, I was skeptical about it at first, because I did not believe that I might have neurosis and the use of some medications would help me with it. However, after a few days the use of perazine I felt better. However, I found out that taking perazine is harmful. Is it true? I read on various internet forums that perazine is addictive and causes a number of negative side effects. I am not entirely convinced that a drug that is authorized, as in the case of perazine, can be harmful to humans.
Nevertheless, I am very puzzled by these opinions. Please let me know if I should stop taking this medication? I do not want to look like an overzealous person who does not trust her doctor, which is why I am asking you for your opinion on this subject. Regards.
The doctor explains whether pernasin may be harmful
Dear sir, please keep in mind that there is no completely safe drug. Each drug substance can cause side effects. They also happen drug allergy. Additionally, there is such a phenomenon as idiosyncrasy, i.e. an individually variable reaction of the organism to a given substance.
Many different side effects have been shown for Pernazinum (the chemical name is perazine). Galactorrhea occurs very often as a result of the use of the drug. Less frequent is an increase in intraocular pressure, constipation, swelling of the nasal mucosa, weight gain and increased thirst. Restlessness, nightmares and sleep disturbances are uncommon. Rare side effects include seizures, photosensitivity, confusional state and gynecomastia. I have only listed some of the side effects, the list is longer, but not only perazine, but also many other drugs.
It should also be borne in mind that drugs can interact in different ways, including perazine. The use of the drug with other neuroleptics enhances its antipsychotic effect. The use of perazine with beta-blockers (beta-blockers), i.e. drugs slowing the heart rate and lowering blood pressure, increases their hypotensive effect. Do not combine the drug with alcohol, as respiratory complications and hypoxia may develop. The use of perazine together with anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs enhances their effect. Also, be careful with the simultaneous intake of perazine and antiarrhythmic drugs because of the risk of developing cardiac arrhythmias.
Do not drive a car while taking the drug and remember to periodically check blood counts and eyesight.
