In this article you will learn, among others:

  • What is the composition of Mamby?
  • Is Mamba harmful?
  • Ile calories ma Mamba?
  • Should Children Eat Mamma?

I never liked Mamma although I remember my aunts coming to visit me from a smile and with tapes of colored rubber as a gift. Nothing has happened since those years changed. My daughter also got to know its taste thanks to “gift sweets”. Fortunately, she wasn’t delighted with its taste just like me.

What is the composition of Mamby?

Seeing general interest with cult sweets, I decided to analyze the composition of Mamba. That sugar and glucose-fructose syrup in it I will know 100% in the first place, before finding the composition. I remind you that this means their greatest percentage share in the product.

What else gives this sweet gum specific taste and structure? Let’s analyze the composition in turn:

  •  Vegetable fat – probably the cheapest – palm fat. We have already written more than once, e.g. in in the case of the text “Nutella – worthless sugar-fat pulp”
  • Sorbitol syrup

As if there was not enough sweetness, on the third place after glucose-fructose syrup, we will find sugar for a change … sweetener! It is not only a sweetener but also a sweetener in food products stabilizer, carrier and filler. Additionally, it keeps the product moist.

Is Mamba harmful?

Pregnant women should avoid it and nursing children, children (big surprise!) and people suffering from phenylketonuria. Eaten in large amounts amounts can cause intestinal cramps, gas and diarrhea.

  • Modified starch – despite the threatening name, it will not harm your child.
  • Citric acid – in small amounts it should not hurt. In higher doses, it may cause disturbances in calcium absorption and aggravate the symptoms of herpes.
  • Aromat
  • Caramel syrup – this is the fourth sweetening addition in a small gum.
  • Elderberry juice concentrate, paprika extract – fortunately, at least the dyes are natural.
  • Alpha – tocopherol – a natural antioxidant

The biggest problem as in most baby products use an overdose of sweeteners. Not I was still analyzing sweets with such a list of sweet additions. Like this presents itself quantitatively?

In one small package (6 cubes), which a small amateur Mamby will eat easily in a few minutes, there are as many as 9 sugar cubes.

Apart from indisputable the harmfulness of sugar, causing an increased risk of overweight, obesity, and diabetes, tumors etc. a serious problem for Mamba caries becomes. Gum very up sticks, sticks on teeth for a long time. It definitely increases the risk tooth decay.

Ile calories ma Mamba?

One packet equals 102 kcal – a lot, especially for a small child. To burn a huge surplus, baby one hour should run, dance or jump rope, 2 hours jump on the trampoline or walk for the same length of time.

Calorie values are approximate, but they illustrate the pointless tormenting of our children with a huge dose of sugar.

 0 fruits – 0 illusions

After entering the website www.mamba.pl, cheerful, colorful fruits are noticeable, juicy peach, orange, raspberry are calling to us on the packages … the games proposed on the site for the youngest present funny drawings natural sweetness. Does this mean that Mamba is full of healthy products, or at least a natural juice? Nothing of that. The only thing these gums have with fruit common is the aroma – most likely artificial.

Should Children Eat Mamma?

To eat or not to eat Mamma? Better no . Sweets prepared by us will be much more beneficial example: home-made pudding, hand-made sorbet or rhubarb pie, strawberries, …

It is difficult to isolate a child from fashionable sweets, the more that every day it is attacked by unhealthy products in advertisements and is strongly modeled on the tastes of their peers. Let’s think how to protect the child. A good one the solution is to prejudge the family to fetch instead of Mamba nuts in chocolate, and in the store we avoid the forbidden shelfs. The most important thing is to set a good example and show how to do good choices.

Do your children like Mamba? What are the healthy substitutes for harmful sweets you know? What substitutes do you choose with a good composition? Let me know!
