Okay, seals, everyone has long been accustomed to their alien flexibility. But dogs? How do they manage to fall asleep in positions that even hurt to look at?
Dog owners are as moved by their pets as parents are by their children. Almost every step of the puppy is captured on video, and if the dog fumbles something out of the ordinary, it will be documented and sent to friends. The Dogspotting Society was even created on Facebook especially for such fans. There are all kinds of photos in it – ulybaki dogs, guilty dogs, and sleeping dogs. But not as it should be for decent dogs, on their own beds, decorously curled up in a ball, but at random – as if the dog ran and fell asleep suddenly, on the go.
In childhood, dogs sleep almost as much as human cubs – 18-20 hours a day, waking up just to eat. And adult dogs sleep from 9 to 14 hours a day – no one canceled daytime sleep. People in this place should become jealous, because we have a pitiful 6-8 hours for a night’s sleep, and most often it is only a dream to take a nap during the day.
Sleep patterns in dogs are very flexible, so they can easily adapt to new conditions. This also distinguishes them favorably from people. There is a third difference – dogs wake up instantly. The dog had just snored and had colorful dreams, and in half a second he was ready for battle. How long does it take for us to at least stop tripping over our own feet?
A dog can really fall asleep anywhere. But zoopsychologists say that they still need their own bed, a place where they can feel like masters. Not necessarily, of course, the dog will only sleep there, especially if you have a cat. But the very fact of having your own bed will help your dog feel much more confident.
By the way, if you still doubt that you need a dog, then we have collected for you a whole gallery of funny sleeping faces – after viewing these photos, we guarantee you will want to have a pet for yourself.
