Together with an expert, we are dealing with one of the pressing questions about vaccination.
One of the most pressing questions now: “Will it be possible to travel abroad if you do not get a vaccine against coronavirus?” For the forecast, we turned to Diana Ferdman, a tourism expert, head of the Belmare travel company.
Tourism expert, head of the travel company “Belmare”, leader of the tourism industry
“From my point of view, there will be no such problem. Most likely, European countries will decide on facilitated entry for those who will have a vaccination passport, or the so-called covid passport, ”the expert notes. For example, similar documents have already begun to be issued in Israel.
So far, our vaccine has not been registered in Europe, so people who have been vaccinated with Sputnik V cannot apply for a covid passport allowing them to enter there.
But we are not talking about an entry permit, but about a facilitated entry. Most likely, people with documents will not be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival and will not be subject to quarantine measures. Cyprus offers from April 2021 to open a tourist destination and let those who have passports without problems, who do not have – to do a PCR test upon arrival. That’s the whole difference.
However, these are all assumptions and they concern only European countries. For example, Turkey plans to remove all restrictions soon, including tests.
At the moment, not many countries are open, but none of them is expected to present covid passports. In most countries, this is a 72 or 90 hour test. And, for example, Tanzania does not require it at all.
Of course, there can be no fines and dispatches after arriving back. If at least one country introduces such measures, then passengers without documents will simply not be put on the plane, since deportation is carried out at the expense of the airline. This means that its representatives will strictly monitor compliance with border crossing requirements and check the availability of the necessary test results and passports during check-in and baggage check-in.
So far, the story about covid passports is more like a rumor. I am sure that no country in the world will introduce compulsory vaccination, because there are people who have been ill and they already have a high threshold for antibodies, and there are people with autoimmune diseases who are prohibited from getting a vaccine.
