Is it possible to put a microwave on a washing machine: pros and cons

When the kitchen is not of royal size, and there are too many household appliances, the question arises – is it possible to put a microwave on a washing machine? Below you will find out how risky it is and whether it is worth it at all.

Pros and cons of a microwave oven on a washing machine

Installing a microwave and other household appliances on a washing machine is relevant for front-facing washing machines. Do not put anything on the vertical SMA – when you open the lid, everything will have to be shifted. For frontal machines, there are restrictions on the weight of things that can be placed on top – no more than 15 kg.

A microwave oven is relatively heavy, but this parameter may vary and depends on the model and dimensions. There are baby stoves weighing 5 kg, as well as productive “beauties” of 20 kg each.

Important! You cannot put a large stove on a washing machine.

Why is it dangerous to put heavy equipment on the cover of the SMA? During washing and spinning, inertia occurs during vibration, the oven moves to the edge, and due to strong shocks, it risks falling.

Are microwaves dangerous?

Some experts are sure that the radiation for the electronic board of the machine is not dangerous. When the oven is in operation, microwaves do not penetrate outside due to reflectors and a reliable housing.

Other experts are sure that such an arrangement is undesirable due to the magnetron in the design of the microwave oven, the service life of which can be significantly reduced due to vibrations.

Despite the opinions of experts, users boast that their stoves have been on typewriters for 5-7 years.

We still recommend placing the oven away from the machine. There is a win-win economical option – to install the machine under the countertop, and put anything on it.

What you need to know before you put the microwave on the typewriter

If you thought about it and decided that putting a microwave on your washing machine is rational and profitable, follow the rules:

  • Check if the dimensions of the top cover and oven match. Depth is especially important. On a narrow washer, 35-36 cm wide, you can not put a stove with the same parameters. A stove with a depth of 28 cm will successfully fit on the car.
  • Reduce the vibrations of the CMA body by using a rubber mat. An alternative to a rug is anti-vibration pads or legs.
  • Remember about a quality outlet and its remoteness. The cord on microwaves is short, so it should be close to the outlet. The washer should be connected to a separate grounded socket. Do not use an extension cord to connect the CMA.
  • Look at the technical documentation of the stove to find out the weight. Remember the maximum 15 kg.

What else can be put on the washer

There are other household appliances that you want to put on a typewriter. Is the electric kettle interfering? Feel free to put it, but lay a rug under it. Do you want to save space and install a dishwasher on the machine? This cannot be done because:

  • Technique weighs a lot.
  • Too big.
  • Water may leak onto the control board, resulting in an expensive repair.

There are no complaints about kitchen accessories – put as much as you like.

Important! Glass, ceramic, porcelain products have no place on the washer. When vibrated, they risk falling and breaking.

To summarize: not everything can be put on a washing machine. But with its modest dimensions, it will be possible to accommodate a microwave oven, the main thing is to follow the rules. And remember that the car looks better in the interior when it costs nothing at all.
