Sex has a beneficial effect on the psyche because it reduces the level of stress, which seems extremely necessary in the era of the coronavirus epidemic. In times of crisis, we need a sense of security provided by human touch.

During sexual intercourse, we release negative emotions by releasing endorphins. Plus, keep in mind that sex also improves immunity – at least according to a study by the Wilkes-Barre University in Pennsylvania. However, can we be safe during sex?

Is it possible to catch the coronavirus through sex or oral sex? Dr hab. n. med. Tomasz Dzieiątkowski does not leave us unanswered. At the moment, there is no research that the coronavirus can be sexually transmitted. At the same time, however, there is a risk that we may become infected during intercourse if we have sex with someone who carries the coronavirus. However, she would have to cough or sneeze on us so that the virus could spread from person to person on the saliva droplets. Using a condom will also not protect you from becoming infected.

How to protect yourself from the COVID-19 coronavirus?

Although restrictions are introduced in all countries around the world to protect us from contracting the coronavirus, we should also take appropriate precautions ourselves. These include frequent and thorough washing of hands with running water and soap. However, when we do not have access to them, it is worth using a disinfection gel, which we will use especially outside the home.
