Are you licking the lids? Check that it is not harmful

First of all, it is worth establishing that it is not dangerous to lick leftover yogurt on its lid. The yogurt does not come into direct contact with aluminum. A harmless plastic layer on the lid, produced under strictly defined conditions, prevents the yogurt from coming into direct contact with the light metal. However, when the plastic layer is damaged, there is a possibility that a small amount of aluminum can find its way into our food. Still, we should not be afraid, because this amount is really minimal.

Nevertheless, licking the yogurt lid may turn out to be a threat to our tongue. Sharp edges can cut through its delicate skin. Also, do not chew or swallow parts of the yogurt lid.
