Should you be concerned about brown spotting during pregnancy? Is all spotting a source of stress during pregnancy? Why does brown spotting appear? The question is answered by the drug. Katarzyna Darecka.
Is brown spotting in pregnancy a cause for stress?
Hello. I am 29 years old and 29 weeks pregnant, expecting twins. So far, the pregnancy has been without major problems, it means that I have ailments typical of that time, but I would call them book-like, i.e. nausea, vomiting, mood swings, I also have an increased appetite, but from yesterday it appeared on my underwear brown spotting, it seems to me that there is no blood in this mucus, my lower abdomen does not hurt either, I feel the movements of the children as before.
Czy brown spotting in pregnancy is this cause for concern? I am under constant medical supervision, but I have an appointment in a few days. Should I worry if any spotting in my pregnancy is a cause for fear? I am aware that brown spotting in pregnancy or other discharge may be the result of hormonal changes that occur in a woman’s body during pregnancy, but is this the case for me? No pathological changes appeared on any ultrasound, babies develop properly, and I feel really good for a multiple pregnancy. Where did this brown spotting come from? Should I go to the nearest hospital for tests? I am asking for tips.
The doctor explains where brown spotting occurs in pregnancy
The causes of gout / light bleeding after 20 weeks of pregnancy may be normal, as the cervix becomes plump and more blood flows over the course of the pregnancy. Therefore, under the influence of even the slightest trauma to the vaginal part of the cervix, slight bleeding may occur. This can happen, for example, as a result of sexual intercourse, gynecological examination or lifting weights, too heavy exercise.
Remember to keep an eye on yourself and your body now, if any of the following symptoms appear, contact your healthcare professional as soon as possible, preferably the doctor in charge of your pregnancy, if available at the moment: heavy bleedingbleeding that is similar in severity to menstrual bleeding, and if it is associated with slight bleeding abdominal pain. Diagnostics of pathological conditions in pregnancy such as premature detachment or placenta previa should be used. However, most often it is just a sign of slowly approaching labor.
From the symptoms mentioned above, it seems that nothing worrying is happening, but if there is a reason why you would feel better if you were in the hands of a specialist at the moment, do not hesitate and go to the emergency room or if there is such a possibility – to the doctor in charge of the pregnancy.
To decrease risk of bleeding in pregnancy you should rest more, spend more time sitting or lying down, drink at least 2 liters of water a day, limit physical activity, lift your feet if possible and do not lift heavy things.
