What to prepare before ironing the arrows?
Prepare your work area when ironing trousers. This can be an ironing board, table, or other flat surface. In order not to spoil furniture that is not intended for high-temperature exposure, lay a thick fabric on top, folded several times.
You will also need:
- iron;
- cloth dampened with water;
- a comb or a couple of coins;
- a piece of soap;
- a few pins.
If pins are not available, you can use a needle and thread to secure the fabric.
How to iron arrows: detailed instructions
First of all, you need to iron the pockets, lining and other internal elements. Then turn out the garment and proceed with the following steps:
- Fold up the trousers so that the grooves and seams on both legs match. Secure the fabric using pins or a needle and thread.
- Moisten the places where the arrows are supposed to be, pinch the edge with coins or insert a comb between the teeth and trace, noting the crease. Repeat the procedure for the second leg and remove any pins or threads.
- Having turned the product on the wrong side, rub the places where the arrows are located with soap.
- Dampen a piece of cloth and squeeze thoroughly. Iron the folded pants through a damp cloth.
The soap improves the hold, so the hands stay straight and crisp for longer.

- before ironing, the product must be washed and cleaned from stains. Under the influence of high temperature, impurities penetrate deeper into the fibers of the fabric, so it will be much more difficult to get rid of them;
- when choosing a suitable operating mode of the iron, take into account the composition of the material of the trousers. The required information is indicated on the product label;
- be sure to use an iron – a piece of fabric through which clothes are ironed;
- a damp cloth is smoothed out more easily, use a steaming iron or use a regular water spray.
