“At the age of five, I began to study music with a wonderful teacher Irina Nikolaevna Malakhova. She had a unique method of teaching children. For example, we had a styrofoam ladder with eight steps, toy animals lived on them: on the bottom — bears with rough voices, and on the top — thinly chirping birds. We were given tasks like «play the rain» or «play how the flower blooms.» This developed the ability to hear inner impulses and express them through music. I think that I owe 90 percent of what I do to music to Irina Nikolaevna.
