A dacha for a person is a disaster and a gain. In the 90s, we grew vegetables on it, put them in storage, made seamings that we ate all year, she did not let us die of hunger and raise children, now it is rest and joy for the soul.
There is always a lot of trouble in the country: the seedlings must be taken out on time so that they do not grow on the windows in the apartment, and the harvested vegetables cannot be frozen by the first frosts. With pleasure we go to the dacha in spring, autumn, winter – to fry shish kebabs and ride the kids on a sled.
And of course, the issue of heating in a country house is acute. Our stove is very warm, it eats little firewood, it keeps heat well, but it is not possible to go to heat it even every other day. Therefore, we decided to buy an electric heater of the convection type of the brand Ballu. Why a convector and not another type of heater? Compared to others, the convector is safer. It has anti-freeze modes, when it maintains the temperature at + 5-7 degrees. And what is important, according to the manufacturer, he can do all this more economically than others. In the following reviews, we will tell you how we tested it and whether it is so.
An oil heater or fan heaters do not know how to do this.

If necessary, hang the heater on the wall, you can use the template that is in the instructions to attach the brackets and hang the heater itself on them
That’s it, the heater is ready to go. It’s nice that everything was assembled quickly and without tension.
Control and operating modes
Control is carried out using a block on which control buttons and a display are located. It is enough to read the instructions once to remember everything and freely use the heater to create comfort in the room.
I want to talk a little about the operating modes of the heater.
The “Anti-freeze” mode maintains the temperature of the heater +50C. I can only assume that this is necessary to maintain the operation of the device in winter in an unheated and non-residential (even temporarily) premises
The “Comfort” mode maintains a temperature of +250C, is set automatically when the heater is turned on, and the user mode can be set using the temperature change button
I also liked the function of changing the power of the heating element. It turns out that the room is up to 200C can be heated for different times. If you increase the power, the room will heat up faster. It will be convenient, for example, in winter. It is enough to arrive an hour and a half earlier and heat the room for the arrival of children with babies.
The heater has in its arsenal
- the “Parental Control” function to block all buttons from children,
- the “Off timer” function, which allows you to set the time to turn off the device in increments of one hour,
- restart function. In the event of a power outage, the device will remember the last operating mode and turn it on when the light appears.
- overheating protection function, which is activated when the device overheats and turns it off and on after the source of overheating is removed.
We must pay tribute to the intelligently written instructions for the heater and control unit. It is not necessary to have a technical education to understand it and independently assemble, connect and configure the Ballu heater.
