One of the main colors of this year in the interior is “spicy honey”. A warm caramel shade that changes in intensity from light woody to burnt clay.
«Terracotta color came into law gradually: it began to appear in small details and accessories, in individual pieces of furniture, and now – on walls and ceilings. It creates a feeling of warmth, fills with warm light, so it is ideal for the bedroom, living room and any room facing the north side, ”says our consultant, architect-designer Sergey Saponov.
As accents, terracotta looks best in furniture upholstery, leather inserts and accent walls, fits perfectly into almost any interior. In terms of compatibility, it is friends with sapphire blue, emerald green, gray and black. These palettes create an ultra-modern interior, with an accentuated graphic, but if you want light colors, then it is better to stop at white or light gray, shades of light stone or wood.
The easiest way to keep up with the times is to transplant indoor plants into natural burnt clay pots. So the interior will instantly acquire trendy notes. But if you want something more dramatic, you can repaint the accent wall, for example, at the head of the bed, or buy a leather chair. But do not forget about caution – everything should be in moderation. Choose one thing – accessories, furniture or walls, otherwise this fashion trend will throw you back 10 years, in the days of peach walls and beige furniture. Don’t forget about contrasts and color palettes.
