If you suddenly begin to notice that, having barely crossed the threshold of your own house, you fall off your feet and only dream of getting to bed, you should not blame it on weather conditions or workload. This, of course, also takes place, but admit it honestly, if during the day you were jumping and having fun, and your own apartment brings you a dream, then it’s not about you, but about the interior. More precisely, in those things that can cause fatigue for no apparent reason.
1. Cold shade of the walls
Surprisingly, the color your walls are painted in, say, in a bedroom, can also influence mood and provoke fatigue. American scientists have found that gray, blue, blue, azure and other cold shades have a calming effect, slow down the heart rate and lower heart pressure. Therefore, in such an environment, we are constantly falling asleep. There is only one conclusion. If you want to feel more cheerful, paint the walls in more positive warm colors.
2. Constantly working TV
Information noise is just as bad for our psyche as ringing silence. Therefore, if you have a habit of grabbing the remote control, as soon as you entered the apartment, do not be surprised later that you have frequent headaches and the whole world has become not nice. In addition, the blue range of visible radiation suppresses the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates circadian rhythms, so sleep becomes hectic and you cannot rest and reboot.
3. Dirt and scattered things
Clutter, trash, and dirt don’t make our day any better either. Experts note that clutter keeps our brains under constant stress and tension, making it difficult for us to focus. Ultimately, this leads to nervous exhaustion and lack of vigor. If you want to improve your well-being and stop falling asleep on the go (the body’s defensive response to stress), then just pull yourself together and clean up the house. Well, or call professionals who will cope with this task once or twice.
4. Fast food or spirits
Fast food, convenience foods, a glass or two of strong drink before bed are also not the best idea. So, for example, junk food, enriched with simple carbohydrates and sugar, provokes frequent surges in blood sugar, followed by sharp drops.
This leads to the fact that we feel not just tired, but overwhelmed. Drinking alcohol before bed leads to a restless night, frequent waking up and inability to lift your head off the pillow in the morning.
5. Aroma candles
Especially lavender. By itself, of course, this scent is very good, but psychologists from Wesley University, for example, found that people who constantly inhaled this scent felt relaxed and constantly wanted to sleep. Therefore, it is better to replace lavender with mint or citrus fruits. But don’t overdo it! A large accumulation of scented candles in one room can cause headaches and, as a result, fatigue.
6. Tightly drawn curtains
Blackout curtains and always-down blinds cause depression and depression. Psychologists assure that for the normal functioning of the body it must be provided with a sufficient amount of light, and if this does not happen, then our mood begins to deteriorate and negative thoughts appear. Therefore, experts recommend opening the curtains for the day, and pulling them only immediately before bedtime.
7. Coldness in the room
Surprisingly, the absence of a heater, or rather, too low a room temperature, can also make us feel tired. This makes our body go into hibernation, and then it will be difficult to invigorate it with something. Therefore, airing the bedroom for five minutes before bedtime will be enough to make you feel better.
8. Mobile phone on the bedside table
Today it is difficult to imagine your life without smartphones and other gadgets. However, they are not as harmless as they seem at first glance. For example, putting your phone next to your bed is a bad idea. Firstly, you will constantly wake up in the middle of the night, reacting to a flickering screen or suddenly hearing the sound of a new message. Therefore, do not get enough sleep and you will feel overwhelmed and tired.
And secondly, doctors say that the waves emitted by gadgets have a negative effect on our health and, in the end, we become psychologically dependent on smartphones and tablets. Therefore, psychologists recommend leaving cell phones and other electronic devices in the living room or kitchen before going to bed.
9. Unsuitable bedding
Sheets made of synthetic fabrics do not contribute to quality rest: in the heat they heat up, in the cold they cool down, they do not absorb moisture. As a result, we get up broken and go to bed even more broken. Cotton, linen, coarse calico are ideal for sleeping. And you also need a comfortable pillow, a moderately warm blanket, the right mattress, which still needs to be turned over in time. Then the rest will be complete, and the feeling of chronic fatigue will evaporate from your life.
