Intensive gardens: bookmark
Intensive gardens are a unique technology, when up to 1 thousand trees are planted on a plot of 2 hectare. The yield of the intensive garden is 50 tons per hectare, and in some cases 90 tons. Trees begin to bear fruit in the second year after planting, and in the third year they already give high yields.
What is an intensive apple orchard
An intensive garden is a dense garden where a solid fruit wall is formed from apple trees. The better the dwarf varieties and the denser the planting, the faster fruiting will begin and the profit will appear. Between rows of trees, a distance of 1,5 to 4 meters is left for tractors and sprayers.
Intensive gardens feature high tree density
A plan for planting seedlings is drawn when it is already known which tractors will process the garden in order to know exactly the required distance between the rows of trees. With the help of technology, they fight weeds, spray trees
Be sure to install concrete trellises on which the wire is pulled. It is needed to tie up trees, to protect from the wind and the severity of the crop that breaks off branches. A net is stretched above the apple trees, which protects the garden from hail and the scorching sun. For watering apple trees, water is supplied through a drip irrigation system strictly on schedule. Fertilizers are added to the water, and there are meters in the garden that record the water consumption.

Special firms or experienced agronomists are engaged in planting such gardens. Before buying seedlings and starting planting, everyone plans. First, a garden plan is drawn up, which consists of two parts – an irrigation project and a tree planting plan.
The most difficult first year of gardening. For everything to go well, you need to consider important points:
- Draw up a competent plan for plantings and a project of an irrigation system.
- Buy quality planting material.
- Land correctly.
- Provide plants with constant watering.
- Apply the necessary fertilizers with water.
- Protect seedlings from pests.
- Prune and winterize trees in the first year.
In the second year, it will be easier for the owner of the garden, the trees have taken root, the time of harvest is approaching and the first profit is coming.
Not all types of soil can be used to grow a fruitful garden. Therefore, before laying, experts examine the soil in the laboratory. The density of planting and the choice of rootstock depend on the quality of the soil. To determine the microrelief of the site, a topographic survey is carried out and everything is measured. If necessary, the site is leveled.
A lot of money and effort is invested in setting up a garden, but it is a very profitable area. It takes about 5 years for the project to pay off.
