Instant porridge. Video
The constant fuss and busyness of people lead to the fact that there is practically no time and effort left for cooking. For this reason, instant cereals are used as breakfast, which is enough to pour boiling water over for a few minutes.
Quick porridge is convenient
Instant porridge saves time, so it is perfect for a morning meal. A certain amount of cereal is poured with a small amount of boiling water and infused for 2-5 minutes. During this time, you can have time to wash and brush your teeth without being distracted by constant stirring.
At the moment, there is a huge assortment of cereals that differ not only in taste, but also in the method of preparation. Some of them require cooking over a fire, but the cooking time does not exceed 5 minutes. Others are simply filled with boiling water.
The composition of quick cereals includes both one cereal and a mixture of several cereals at once. For lovers of sweets, there are cereals on sale with various additives: berries, spices, fruits. For ease of use, manufacturers pack cereals in separate bags, which is one serving.
Is there any benefit from such a dish? A quick breakfast has a lot of advantages, but don’t forget about the disadvantages.
The negative effect of porridge on the body
When buying such porridge, the question arises in my head: how does the manufacturer achieve such a result? Ordinary cereals require a fairly long cooking time, after which they can be used for food. It is this quick preparation that should alert buyers. To speed up the process, cereals go through a special technological cycle, as a result of which cereals take the form of flakes.
Shredded grains are cooked much faster, which saves time and effort for a delicious and nutritious breakfast
Also, certain techniques are used to create quick porridges. The most common is to make special notches on the flakes, as a result of which the fibers are broken into tiny particles during infusion.
Hydrothermal treatment of cereal plants also has an effect. It is divided into three groups: – steaming in boilers with a relatively small volume of water; – evaporation at high pressure and high temperature; – infrared treatment.
This method of processing grains does not require a lot of time, and also maximizes the digestibility of the porridge.
The harm from such porridge consists in the fact that there are practically no nutrients, trace elements and vitamins in it, which cannot be said about natural porridge. The source of fiber, necessary for the normal functioning of the body, is a traditional porridge made from natural cereals.
Also, to give a pleasant smell and taste, the manufacturer uses flavors and various additives that negatively affect the state of the body. Instead of dried fruits and berries, dry apples that have undergone chemical “procedures” are often used.
