Insidious heat: summer heat is the enemy of a slender figure

While lamenting about the current cold summer and the uncomfortable coolness in the apartment, we forget that there are no minuses without pluses. For example, do you know that the higher the temperature in the room, the more risks to the figure?

This is the conclusion reached by scientists from one of the oldest universities in the Netherlands after a series of studies. It turns out that the weather in the house directly affects human health. After analyzing data for 50 states of America, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, they came to the conclusion that the lower the temperature in the room where we live or work, the more beneficial it is for health in general and for the figure in particular.

What is the danger of an unnecessarily warm house? In the course of research, it was found that a person feels more comfortable in the cool, he has a lower predisposition to type XNUMX diabetes and obesity. “But what relationship can there be between the heat in the room and the size of the waist?” – you ask. It turns out to be very simple. Fat is converted into energy, which we use to heat our body. Consequently, the hotter it is in the room, the less the body needs for heating, which means that it spends much less calories for heating – fat is not consumed, but accumulates. Moreover, excess fat not only spoils the aesthetics of our body, but also leads to more sad consequences – obesity and, as a result, diabetes.

To be healthy, slim and vigorous, the temperature in the home / office should be 5 degrees lower than outside (in summer). A comfortable temperature is considered to be 20-22 degrees. If you feel chilly, it is better to warm up with tea, warm clothes, etc. For weight loss, it is already enough that you breathe cold air, which activates the processes of energy exchange. Moreover, energy consumption increases in a cool room, even if a person lies under a blanket and just breathes cold air.

In the heat, it is imperative to carry water with you in your purse, the consumption of liquid should be 2-3 liters per day. If you can’t carry water, bring a cucumber or other vegetables that contain a lot of water. Vegetable water is preferable to ordinary water – it is well retained in the intercellular fluid. But it is better to refuse juices, sweet carbonated and foamy drinks in the heat.

Water consumption, feasible physical activity, installation of an air conditioner are the best investments in your health. According to scientists, one hour a day spent on health care can add 15-20 years to life.
