The Carolina Medical Center hospital belonging to the LUX MED Group and the HIFU CLINIC Prostate Cancer Treatment Center have established cooperation in the implementation of urological services for patients with urological and uro-oncological diseases. As part of the Carolina Medical Center Hospital, the Urology Department was established.

The new department offers a wide range of services: from non-invasive diagnostics, through prostate fusion biopsy, to the treatment of prostate cancer with all available surgical methods. Among others, operations using da Vinci and Ablatherm HIFU robots. Specialists perform hydraulic penile implant procedures,

use the latest laser techniques in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (HoLEP enucleation method) and urolithiasis using flexible endoscopic instruments (RIRS). “The Urology Department is another step in the development of the Carolina Medical Center. In the coming years, we want to become a multi-profile center offering the most modern medical services to a wide group of patients. Cooperation with experts from HIFU CLINIC combines our innovative approach to medical services and the experience of a group of outstanding specialists in the field of urology – says Izabella Murawska-Chojnowska, President of the Carolina Medical Center.

The head of HIFU CLINIC, Dr. Marek Filipek, invited many eminent urologists to cooperate with him, including: Dr. Artur A. Antoniewicz, MD, Tomasz Borkowski, MD, Marek Zawadzki, MD, Daniel Leszczyński, MD, Artur Przewor, MD and Deliu Victor Matei, MD from the European Institute of Oncology at Milan. Dr. Stefan W. Czarniecki, a specialist urologist, FEBU, became the Head of the Department. In Poland, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men, after lung cancer. The new Urology Department in the Carolina Medical Center offers a chance to effectively help patients suffering from this disease using the achievements of modern medicine.
