Innofer Baby is a formula for infants and children that contains elemental iron in the form of an oral suspension. Iron plays a very important role in the body of every human being, especially among the youngest patients. Iron is present in every cell of the body and is responsible for transporting oxygen to all organs. Iron influences the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin, the basic blood components. The role of iron in infancy is extremely important. This element in the youngest period of human life is responsible for the proper development of the child’s brain, as well as the formation of connections and networks of nerve cells responsible for proper cognitive functions. In addition, in the early years of life, the human body uses iron for intensive body growth and increasing the volume of circulating blood. Iron deficiency in young children has serious consequences. As a result of iron deficiency, motor and mental development is disturbed, memory, speech and attention abnormalities appear. Children with iron deficiency struggle with visual, olfactory, auditory and tactile perception problems. The consequence of iron deficiency is anemia, or anemia.
Innofer Baby – drug characteristics
Innofer Baby is a suspension that contains elemental iron. The iron contained in the drug has GRAS safety status, which is granted by the United States Department of Health. Studies have been carried out on infants and children using the drug, and it has been shown that taking Innofer Baby does not cause the side effects that often occur with other drugs of this type. So there is no constipation, diarrhea or abdominal pain. This iron does not oxidize in the oral cavity, so it does not adversely affect the color of the teeth and does not give a metallic aftertaste. This iron also has a very high bioavailability, which, when dosed correctly, means that this element will be absorbed and will not cause an excess of free ions that is dangerous to health.
Innofer Baby – composition and action
The composition of Innofer Baby is based on two basic components, i.e. vegetable MCT oil and elemental iron. 100 ml of Innofer Baby equals 793 kcal. 96 g are fatty acids, mainly saturated fatty acids. The elemental iron contained in Innofer Baby does not disturb the baby’s intestinal flora.
Correct dosage of Innofer Baby
The dosage and duration of treatment depend on the level of iron deficiency in the child’s body. Always consult your doctor about the correct dosage of Innofer Baby. Before applying the suspension, shake the bottle well to obtain a homogeneous mixture. The bottle should be shaken vigorously for at least 30 seconds until the preparation becomes dark in color. Innofer Baby has a dispenser that allows you to measure the exact dose of the drug.
