Infacol

Infacol is a drug used to relieve flatulence and colic pain. The active substance of the drug is simethicone, which is a silicon compound. Simethicone improves the absorption of gases through the intestinal wall and removes gases from the gastrointestinal tract as a result of peristaltic movements. The suspension is intended for children from 1 month to 6 months of age. The preparation is in the form of an oral suspension and is available without a prescription.

Dosage

Infacol is a suspension for oral use. The contents of the dropper should be squeezed onto the child’s tongue. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the preparation as it may pose a threat to your life or health.

1. Children after 1st month 20 mg (0,5 ml) before each meal.

Infacol and contraindications

Contraindications to taking Infacol are:

1. thyroid dysfunction,
2. bowel obstruction,
3. constipation.
4. use in infants in the first month of life,
5. allergy to any component of the drug.

1. People with diabetes can use the drug because it does not contain sugar.
2. Avoid carbonated drinks during treatment with the drug.
