Inexpensive lipsticks: brands, reviews, photos

– Lipstick is my passion. Nude, wine, red, terracotta, all shades of pink and a few dozen more shades with the most juicy names. Lipstick should not be expensive, it should be persistent or moisturizing (as you understand, matte lipsticks are responsible for durability, but they dry the lips, and moisturizing lipsticks care for the skin of the lips, but lose in terms of durability), have a pleasant aroma and, perhaps, not spread out.

Expectations: I have not used Vivienne Sabo products before, but the delicate pink tint has drawn my attention to the brand.

Reality: When applying lipstick, I ran into a difficulty: the product rolls off when reapplied, so it is better to use a brush. Pleasant fruity aroma and a very delicate pink hue. Rouge Vintage pleasantly moisturizes the skin, but even after eating the watermelon, the lipstick left a delicate shade.

Rating: 9 out of 10. I take off a point because the lipstick rolls off, and in working conditions it is not always convenient to carry a brush with me.

I have never heard of the Stellary brand or used its products. Having rummaged in the net, I found out that the brand is from Switzerland and positions itself as a professional one. At the same time, the price of cosmetics is extremely democratic.

Expectations: an inexpensive lipstick is required to smell sweet, not dry out the lips and have an average durability.

Reality: Fruity Lipstick did a great job with all these features. The lipstick spreads evenly over the lips and creates a long-lasting yet translucent finish. It smells like something caramel-candy. I got a cool light plum shade with tiny golden sparkles. For me, the presence of glittering particles was clearly superfluous.

Unfortunately, the taste of the product is not so pleasant – it still tastes a little bitter. Another drawback – lipstick creates for me personally an uncomfortable film on the lips, as if I smeared them with Vaseline. The stick does not dry out the lips, nor does it moisturize them.

Rating: 8 out of 10. She got one point for unpleasant taste and inappropriate glitter in the shade, and another for the feeling of film on the lips.

– In the summer, I just love testing lipsticks and glitters in bright and berry shades. When else to decide on such experiments if not in the warm season? I have known the Stellary brand not so long ago – our first meeting took place when I got a Matte Lipstick with a fantastic coral shade for testing. I must say that both this and that time I was completely delighted with the product of this brand.

Expectations: it was interesting to know if the lipstick pencil is different from regular lipstick or gloss.

Reality: this novelty with an incredible coral pink color has now settled in my cosmetic bag. It seems to me that this is a reasonable solution for the summer – a good cosmetic product at an affordable price, which, according to the manufacturers’ promises, should also nourish and moisturize the lips. But first things first.

Firstly, I immediately appreciated the color, it just won me over. Secondly, as I already mentioned, the affordable price attracted. And thirdly, the product has an interesting design, it is in a convenient tube with a tight-fitting cap, which excludes the possibility of lipstick leakage. The product can be twisted like a pencil, easily and evenly applied, does not dry lips, has good pigmentation and an enchanting watermelon scent. Lipstick, of course, is not super-resistant, so during the day it has to be corrected several times. Another small drawback – it can emphasize peeling, however, if you first apply peeling on the lips (if necessary), then the lipstick paints the lips perfectly and does not crawl out of the contour.

Rating: 8 out of 10, I take off points for endurance (more precisely, for its absence).

Expectations: I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about the Kate Moss line of lipsticks for Rimmel, praising the successful palette of shades, comfortable application and great look on the lips.

Reality: I won’t say about the whole line, but my shade turned out to be very cool. Previously, I have met such complex colors mainly from luxury or professional brands. I would describe it as a dusty crimson, it looks more pastel on the stick, it looks brighter on the lips. The finish looks no less cool: matte with a slight satin sheen. I don’t think that lipstick somehow additionally moisturizes the lips, but it is applied very evenly and does not spread beyond the contour. Overall, I’m impressed.

Rating: 10 out of 10.

– Once again, Yves Rocher presented a limited collection dedicated to the summer! This year it is called Summer Breeze. Lipstick pencil in this collection consists of eight shades. Two vibrant shades and six neutral tones of pink and beige. I have a bright pink shade – “Pink Oleander” (08958).

Lipstick in the form of a pencil, in a plastic bag with a twisting tool. This is a big plus, no need to sharpen.

Expectations: the manufacturer says that the moisturizing texture of the lipstick melts on the lips and gives them shining shades. Thanks to the retractable lead pencil lipstick retains its shape. The retractable lead does not require sharpening.

Reality: lipstick in pencil format, it is very convenient in my opinion. Color: Oleander Pink is very intense. For me, the option is wonderful, I like to make bright lips from time to time. Feeling of lightness on the lips after application. Convenient to apply, even without a mirror. Treats the lips like a medium balm.

Rating: 10 from 10 for durability and color.

– I carried my indifference to network brands through the years. Once such brands as AVON, Oriflame and the like were a breakthrough, later, when the world of cosmetics opened up to us in full and became available, we began to consider the networkers unworthy of our cosmetic bags. But during the time they were out of the spotlight, a lot has changed.

Expectations: I basically don’t have high expectations from lipstick. Well, the truth is, she should go to bed well, not cause discomfort and be more or less persistent. And since you want to change lipsticks often and thickly, the low price is an excellent addition to the listed desires.

Reality: color is fire! Very beautiful and rich. I tried several shades from this series, and all worked for me. This is surprising, because for many years I could not find myself a bright lipstick, and there are so many options at once.

It is applied perfectly, does not spread. And she kept on her lips until the evening, having survived dinner, only slightly faded. But there are also disadvantages – in some amazing way, lipstick turned out to be on the hands and clothes! Perhaps this is due to the fact that it lays down in a rather thick layer. Because of this, lipstick spread along the edges of the lips towards evening. But, I confess, I did not use a pencil.

Evaluation: 8 out of 10 – I shoot for this ability of her to leave traces. But I will use it – it’s still a bright color not for daily makeup.

– I was repeatedly convinced that inexpensive does not mean bad. The new lipstick from Avon once again proved it.

Expectations: the creators of the new line of lipsticks promise that the product will visually increase the volume of your lips.

According to the assurances of cosmetologists, lipstick also has a caring effect. 7 out of 10 women who tested “3D Volume” found a significant improvement in the condition of their lips: after 2 weeks they are 35 percent more voluminous, and the dryness of the lips is reduced by 90 percent!

Reality: the first thing you pay attention to when using the product is the ease of application. The lipstick fits perfectly on the skin of the lips, it is ideally distributed over the surface. The next criterion is color and volume. A delicate pink shade called Stolen kisses is great for everyday use – and yes, the lips do look a little fuller.

The third item is flavor. And this is the only thing I could find fault with. Personally, I never liked the fruit and candy flavor. But this is already a matter of tastes, which, as they say, do not argue.

Rating: 8 out of 10. I subtract 2 points for a pronounced aroma. The rest of the lipstick coped with its tasks perfectly.
