Individual education at home for a child: regulatory documents, features
Home education is needed for students who, due to illness or disability, do not attend school. When switching to individual home education, they need to undergo a medical commission. The provision on such education is enshrined in law, sick children are supported by the state.
Features of the transition to home schooling
There are normative documents that enshrine the right to education for children with health problems. This is Art. 34 of the federal law of December 29.12.2012, 273 No. XNUMX. For students with special needs, all conditions are created so that they master the school curriculum.
Disabled children need individual education at home
Parents can refer to the list of diseases adopted in Russia on July 8, 1980, in which education at home is recommended. These diseases include epilepsy, severe neuroses, mental illness, etc.
To transfer a child to special education, parents submit an application addressed to the head of the school and bring a medical conclusion with appropriate recommendations. To receive such recommendations, the baby undergoes a medical examination at the hospital at the place of residence.
Features of the organization of the child’s education
After receiving an application and a medical certificate from the parents, the head of the school issues a decree on the organization of education at home, approves the plan, the schedule of lessons and the composition of teachers for classes. The gradebook is in the hands of the parents during training, in which teachers note the topics covered and the student’s progress. At the end of the year, parents submit the magazine to school.
During the school year, the school provides the child with textbooks free of charge. He is also allowed to use books from the school library, he can come to school lessons and events.
If distance learning methods are used in home education, the student is given computer equipment, communication facilities and software for the duration of his studies. Local municipal authorities choose the method of organizing training and determine the total number of training hours.
Home schooling allows children with serious illnesses to receive a certificate. If they are unable to master the educational material, a certificate of graduation from an educational institution is issued, indicating the subjects whose programs have been completed.
You can transfer your child to education at home in any class, if the need arose. After he recovers, he can return to normal school activities.
