At one time or another in their lives, many women may experience the problem of urinary incontinence.

Why is this happening? Is it okay? How to choose the best hygiene products? Is it possible to provide yourself with comfort unnoticed by others? We answer all your questions!

What are the reasons?

Urinary incontinence is the involuntary discharge of urine in any volume that cannot be controlled. It can occur due to various problems with the urinary tract, weakening of the ligaments in this area, or some changes in the nervous system that provoke an uncontrolled contraction of the bladder.

In some women, incontinence can occur during pregnancy, after childbirth, as a result of menopause, stress, age-related changes, a number of diseases and characteristics of the body …

Is this normal?

It is important to understand that this is indeed a very common problem. Up to 52% women may experience stress incontinence (sudden movements, coughing, physical exertion and even laughing), or with urgent urinary incontinence (roughly speaking, the inability to “run to the toilet”).

Therefore, it is “normal” in the sense that there is nothing terrible or shameful in what is happening. However, urinary incontinence, of course, is not a physiological norm and requires mandatory consultation with a specialist, accurate diagnosis and search for suitable solutions.

How to choose hygiene products?

Of course, the first instinct for most women to work is to use the usual sanitary napkins. However, this is not entirely true. Regular panty liners are designed for menstrual flow: a fairly dense, slowly flowing fluid with the presence of clots.

For incontinence, special urological pads should be used for the following reasons:

  • they are designed to absorb a large volume of liquid with a high release rate;

  • help to prevent irritation in the intimate area, as they not only absorb urine, but also remove its caustic traces from the skin;

  • absorb a characteristic odor well, allowing you to hide the problem from others;

  • are produced in various shapes and sizes, taking into account the peculiarities of the lifestyle and the level of activity of women.

Urological pads are a good example of such pads. MoliMed®… Made from hypoallergenic materials, they help maintain the correct pH balance in the intimate area, protect the skin from irritation and have an antimicrobial effect.

MoliMed® have an anatomical structure, perfectly adhere to the body and do not create the feeling of a “diaper for adults”, are not noticeable to others. Thanks to the super absorbent layer and secure attachment method, they absorb the entire volume of urine, preventing leaks or unpleasant odors. Gaskets MoliMed® can be used both for problems with incontinence and during heavy menstruation, during postpartum discharge and after gynecological operations.

Feel free to what is happening to your body and remember that the right choice of hygiene products can make life with incontinence comfortable, providing you with the usual level of activity, calmness and self-confidence!
