Inclusive education in modern schools: primary, general education
High-quality inclusive education in schools will change the established system of education. New requirements and standards will appear in educational institutions that will make learning more effective for children with different abilities. With the introduction of the new system, the documents required for its organization will change.
Inclusive education at school
The new training program is being implemented both in joint classes and in separate educational institutions. Teachers, psychologists and doctors take part in the preparation of the educational program for children with disabilities. They form a commission that examines the child. If the baby has a disability, the doctor will draw up a rehabilitation program. It will become an integral part of the learning process. Parents take an active part in drawing up the program.
For primary schools, the state has drawn up requirements that determine the content of the educational program for children with different abilities. In the future, such requirements will be established for high school students.
Inclusion in the mainstream school
The goal of inclusion is to attract children with disabilities to full participation in school life. Children with different needs can be combined in one school. Inclusion will provide quality education for different groups of students:
- Children with disabilities and disabled people – they will have the opportunity to become a full-fledged member of the team, which will simplify socialization in society;
- Athletes – adaptation in a team in conditions of a long absence from competitions will become much easier;
- Talented children – they need an individual approach to unleash their creativity.
The task of the teacher will be to educate the child according to his abilities. This allows us to prove that there are no untrained children.
Modern curriculum in elementary comprehensive school
An inclusive education system is in a transitional phase. Changes are underway aimed at its implementation:
- Special training of teachers;
- Development of pedagogical technologies;
- Compilation of educational literature;
- Acceptance of the standard for the work of educational psychologists;
- Development of a standard for the activity of a tutor.
A tutor is a teaching assistant. Its task is to provide assistance to children with disabilities and disabled people. In an inclusive class, there should be 2 such children. The entire team will be 25 students.
Inclusion will bring together students with different abilities. They learn to work in a team, communicate and be friends.
