- In what products can we find glucose-fructose syrup?
- Is glucose-fructose syrup in bread?
- Is glucose-fructose syrup in light products?
Belong to them:
Dried tomatoes
Cottage cheese with chives
BIO vegetable stock cubes
Interestingly, there is no syrup in traditional cubes.
Buckwheat Bread – Gluten-free dietary food
The fact that a product has ‘dietetic’ in its name does not necessarily mean that it does not contain sweet additives. Sometimes such an additive is necessary for technological reasons, and sometimes for flavor improvement.
Fitness wholemeal roll
Not all fitness is so fit. Most often, these types of products have added sugar or syrups.
Gluten-free Kaiser rolls – a dietary food
Natural yoghurt with peaches
This product (produced on behalf of one of the supermarket chains) actually gave the impression of natural yoghurt, if only because of the play of colors on the packaging, white and orange. It really did feel like natural yoghurt. However, as it turned out after reading the ingredients, this product is a regular flavored yogurt. It’s worth reading the labels.
Natural crunchy – high amount of fiber
Here, too, the very name of the product may turn out to be wrong, as it emphasizes the pro-health values: ‘naturalness’ and ‘high amount of fiber’. Just because a product is high in fiber does not necessarily mean that it has not been sweetened.
Bolognese sauce
You can find sugar in sauces, but syrup? As you can see, it happens too.
Muesli bar with sunflower seeds without sugar
The name suggests it won’t be a sweet bar. And yet the syrup is in it as the main (first) ingredient.
Other products that these sweet additions contain, and maybe not everyone knows yet, are:
Certain ketchups (GF syrup)
Natural fermented milk yoghurts (sugar syrup or sugar)
Flavored light yoghurt (fructose syrup)
And what products that contain syrup surprised you, and you thought otherwise? Do you know any other products with glucose-fructose syrup? Include info in comments.
