In the Czech Republic, they figured out what to do with people leaving food on a plate

In the Czech city of Dobroměřice, they decided to punish those visitors who overestimate their capabilities and impose more food than they can eat.

According to Vinegret.cz., One of the Dobroměřice restaurants, which operates according to the “eat as much as you like” system, has introduced fines for uneaten food.

“The buffet in the restaurant is open at lunchtime only. The choice of dishes is not rich – several types of meat and side dishes. Visitors pay 97 CZK to enter, and then they can eat whatever they want in unlimited quantities. After the meal, the plate must be taken to the kitchen, and if there is anything left on it, the guest will be asked to pay an additional 50 kroons, ”the message says.

The Czech Trade Inspection did not find anything illegal in this practice. They noted that the restaurant should clearly and easily inform consumers about the current rules. Since this was done, the inspection body cannot have any complaints.

At the same time, the inspectorate noted that if the client refuses to pay a fine for uneaten food, then the restaurant can seek payment in the only way – through the court.
