Important information for people with sleep problems. Noctis Noc, one of the medications used in this ailment, has been available without a prescription since the end of June. This was reported by the Supreme Pharmaceutical Chamber.

Noctis Noc – what is it used for?
Noctis is an antihistamine. It has a calming effect, makes it easier to fall asleep, among others in occasional insomnia or night awakening. Noctis is used to treat sleep problems in adults.
The active substance is doxylamine. Excipients: calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypopyl cellulose, colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), talc, macrogol 6000; cochineal red lake (E124).
Noctis tablets are taken orally, usually one tablet half an hour before bedtime. In some cases, the doctor may recommend two tablets half an hour before bedtime.
Sleep problems – who do they affect?
Simply put, insomnia is problems with falling asleep, waking up at night, poor quality sleep, or waking up too early. The sleeping phase, in addition to the waking phase, is one of the basic biological rhythms that enable the smooth functioning of the human body.
Until recently, sleep problems were mainly attributed to the elderly. As it turns out, in recent years, insomnia affects people who are getting younger and younger. On average, every third Pole admits to having trouble sleeping, and this ailment affects women and men of all ages. It is worth noting that sleep problems were once considered one of the symptoms of a disease in the body. Currently, insomnia is treated as a separate disease entity.
Sleep problems – possible causes
Trouble falling asleep may indicate the presence of an illness or be the result of a negative influence of some factors. - neurogenic: including damage to the nervous system and its dysfunction,
- psychogenic: a strong emotional state, stress, conflicts with other people,
- Toxic and iatrogenic: insomnia can occur after drinking alcohol or certain medications; caffeine is also important,
- primary: that is, difficult to grasp.
