Wine has its appointment in Castilla la Mancha this March at the II international summit.
The next 12, 13 and 14 March will take place the different events, exhibitions and activities that are part of the international event on wine.
There will be several venues that host all the bulk of events that have been prepared for the occasion, having the city of Toledo as a base of operations within its Congress Palace “El Greco“, Where will be carried out exhibitions, showcookings and conferences.
One of the novelties presented in this edition is the presentation of a program of actions that can be carried out with signature cuisine, pairing it with wine.
The Spanish Cuisine Selection, captained by the cooks Alberto Moreno, Sergio Fernández, Rubén Camacho and Carlos Durán, in the purest style Davis Cup, they will lead the demonstrations of the menus with wine, completely elaborating a starter, a main dish and a dessert where wine will be present as a collaborating ingredient in culinary creation.
Josep Roca, sommelier at Can Roca, will delight us with his haute cuisine seminar at the service of wine, present and future of the restaurant sector. And with him will be held other presentations by prestigious sommeliers such as Custodio López Zamarra, Gemma Vela, Abel Valverde or Javier Muñoz to share your experiences and advice from the world of the room in relation to grape must, fermented and bottled which is the object of treatment in all areas of the congress.
Music and Leisure as part of the congress activities
The artist from Huelva Pitingo, cantaor of flamenco and Latin soul, will perform at the Palace of Congresses from the city of Albacete, as an entertainer of the rest of wine activities of the city in those days, touring it in his Tapas Route washed down with wines from the land of Albacete and guided tastings in the Cultural Center of the Asunción.
In the municipality of Hellin a concert will be held by the hand of Rozalén and Carmen Valero, in the house of culture of the town, to rest and enjoy relaxed after having participated in the Wine tasting of La Mancha, which will be carried out within the activities organized in the municipal booths.
The town of Almansa, will have David Barrull, acting on the TMain Theater, along with other activities organized by the La Mancha tourist office.
To conclude the wine music festival, Villarrobledor will it be the place where the group La Cava, will present the news of his latest musical work “Good cava in bad weatherFlanked by tasting sessions to be held in the Cloister of the municipal council of the town.
Sessions and Wine tourism for all audiences
During the weekend, and more specifically on Saturday, will be held by the wineries of the autonomous community of Castilla la Mancha, the Open Days.
The objectives of this leisure initiative that will surely help the whole family enjoy an unforgettable day in the company of vineyards, barrels and above all a lot of quality wine.
All the participating provinces of the event generate great wines, and proof of this are the different DO (Denominations of Origin) that are framed in those latitudes:
- La Mancha
- Valdepeñas
- Almansa
- Jumilla,
- La Manchuela
Apart from these denominations, the region has two accredited payments and one IGP (Protected geographical indication ) which is that of the Wines of the Land of Castilla.
