If you want to win the heart of a woman, order her a Martini: what is the secret of such a popularity of the drink and how to make it yourself

Recently invited a new girl to a new bar and ordered her expensive wine. To which she wrinkled her nose and said, “Don’t you know?! If you want to win a woman’s heart, order her a Martini.”

For me, this phrase seemed funny, but my girlfriend continued to insist that all women are crazy about this bittersweet drink. And I wondered what his secret was and why he had such a charming effect on the fair sex.

The story of my subscriber and dating lover Igor.

I had to continue the evening not with wine, but with a bottle of Martini (Martini)

Martini History

According to legend, the history of Martini (Martini) began in ancient times. Hippocrates decided to create a medicine that effectively fights diseases of the digestive system.

He infused various medicinal herbs in Cretan wine and gave this medicinal drink to his patients. And they got rid of the pathologies of the digestive tract. This wine-herbal tincture is called the ancestor of Martini (Martini).

The name of the drink was in honor of its creator – Alessandro Martini, who used the works of Hippocrates as the basis for the preparation of the beloved women’s alcohol.

Alessandro admitted that the preparation of Martini (Martini) is not particularly difficult. It is enough to add tinctures and extracts of herbs to dry wine, filter the mixture and let it stand for a while.

One of the varieties of Martini (Martini) – Fiero (Fiero)

In 1879, Alessandro and his partner Luigi Rossi opened their own Martini & Rossi factory. It was this year that women’s hearts were forever conquered by the unique taste of Martini (Martini).

What gives it such a taste

My girlfriend is delighted with the unique, soft, sweet taste and delicate aroma of Martini (Martini). It has many shades – citrus, honey, fruity, vanilla. This taste of the drink gives the collection of herbs infused with dry wine.

Until now, the secret of creating Martini (Martini) has not been fully disclosed. However, I managed to find out the main ingredients.

List of ingredients contained in a bottled Martini Fiero (Martini Fiero)

In general, in the production of different varieties of Martini (Martini), up to 40 ingredients are used. But only wormwood remains unchanged. It is she who gives the sweetish drink a light, pleasant bitterness.

Martini making process

The Martini wine base must be aged for at least 8 months. Herbal collection is selected for it, strictly according to the recipe. It is kept secret, the manufacturer has revealed only a few key components.

All herbal ingredients collected for the drink are ground to a powder. Placed in an alcohol solution for 20 days. At the same time, the temperature regime of storage must be strictly observed (no more than 22 ° and not less than 16 °).

Important! The mixture must be stirred regularly. Without this process, you will not be able to get a true Martini (Martini)!

The wine is filtered until it is completely clear. Next, all the ingredients of the drink are mixed in large containers. The last stage in the creation of Martini (Martini) is its stabilization.

Found a women’s paradise – a collection of bottles of Martini (Martini) on the shelf of the store

First, it is frozen for 10 days at a temperature of -9 °, then it passes alternately cold and warm filtration, infused for a week. And bottled.

How to make something similar at home

I decided to please my girlfriend and create a homemade martini for her. For its preparation used:

  • wormwood (grass) – 2 g;
  • yarrow (grass) – 1,8 g;
  • chamomile – 1 g;
  • elderberry (flowers) – 0,6 g;
  • mint (herb) – 1 g;
  • cardamom (fruits) – 0,8 g;
  • cinnamon (sticks) – 0,7 g;
  • juniper (berries) – 3 pcs.;
  • nutmeg (ground) – 0,5 g;
  • vanilla sugar – 0,3 g;
  • alcohol (93%) – 85 ml;
  • boiled water – 25 ml.

To create a wine base, I took:

  • bottled white wine “Tamyanka” – 0,7 l;
  • alcohol 96% – 45 ml;
  • orangeade syrup – 50 ml.

Pour all herbal ingredients into a small glass jar (pre-grind cardamom fruits and juniper berries). Pour in alcohol and water. Close the jar tightly and put in a dark, cool place for 20 days. Next, the tincture is filtered through gauze.

Pour Oranjad syrup (50 ml), alcohol (45 ml) and herbal infusion (8 ml) into a clean glass dish (for example, a bottle). Top with wine (I chose dry white Tamyanka). Insist for another 10 days and you can taste.

Surprise for my girlfriend – Martini (Martini) of his own production, poured into the original bottle

To be honest, my girlfriend was delighted with the surprise in the form of a homemade Martini (Martini). Therefore, for her sake, I am ready to try to prepare new varieties of this drink.

In addition, each subsequent bottle comes out cheaper, since herbs are sold in packs of 10-100 g, and the recipe takes just nothing.
