For everyone who has had a difficult year … For everyone who still cannot find the festive mood and feel the pre-New Year’s magic …

In a word, for all of us this collection of the best ideas and uncommon New Year’s activities has been collected, which will not require much effort, but will allow us to fill ourselves with the expectation of a holiday and magic.

Immerse yourself in pleasant memories

Start preparing for the New Year by sorting through archives: old photographs, children’s letters, long-stored little things … A generous wave of joy, recognition and nostalgia, seasoned with a drop of light sadness, will make your evening truly magical.

At the same time, you can thoughtfully clean the archives, moving into the new year without unnecessary burden from the past. This enjoyable and meditative activity is great for the pre-New Year feeling of lightness and renewal.

Create a warm atmosphere around

In the process of sorting through the archives, did you come across old, funny, touching or memorable photos? Arrange a non-hassle photo exhibition: hang them on taut ropes with clothespins or, in extreme cases, attach them with double-sided tape to a cabinet.

Thus, you will spend all New Year’s holidays in the company of people dear to you, pleasant associations and warm memories. At the same time, it will be possible for children to have a fascinating excursion to the past of their parents.

Decorate your home in the laziest way

While bloggers on social networks compete in the size of handmade wreaths, bake gingerbread houses at speed and cut nanotechnological snowflakes, we propose to create coziness with the help of many garlands with warm yellow light. It does not require much effort, but even during the day it fills the rooms with soft magical light and creates a truly fabulous atmosphere.

By the way, it is not necessary to hang the garlands – you can beautifully fold them inside transparent jars or wrap them around doll houses in the nursery. And if you add a couple of cones or a spruce twig to the composition, you can also upload a beautiful photo to Instagram.

Feel free to fall into childhood

On New Year’s Eve weekend, the whole family go to the park with snow and ice slides. Your task is to roll until you drop, remembering the happiness of frosty freshness, red cheeks and the anticipation of a warm dinner at home. Keep in mind that the implementation of this point of the program does not require the obligatory cover in the form of children. Adults can also ride the slides!

If for some reason you cannot or do not want to leave the apartment, instead of walking in the park, you can arrange a family movie marathon. Have each family member come up with their favorite childhood and adolescent movie to watch together.

Unite your family

Start a new tradition: on the eve of each New Year, conduct family interviews – a mini-survey of households that you will shoot on video. You can find a list of questions for such projects on the Internet or come up with yourself.

Try to keep the entire interview around positive topics: ask kids fun questions, encourage adults to talk about their plans. Some questions can be repeated from year to year – in 5-10 years it will be interesting to edit them into a separate film.

Thank everyone who was dear to you

It was really a difficult, disturbing and full of surprises year. However, we survived it together… Think of everyone who has supported you this year or who you yourself would like to support. Give them your warmth and confidence that everything will be fine.

Send with delivery or personally give small gifts, such as a box of good chocolates and a card with warm words of support or gratitude. Check out the new video from Ferrero Rocher’s traditional New Year’s Eve series for inspiration – it perfectly conveys this idea:

Let’s pass on warmth, love and gratitude to each other for all the good things that this year has brought. This is our New Year’s magic and real magic!
