Ideal pairings for young cheeses

Combinations with feta

Chees Feta with expressive salty taste usually served with olives. It also goes well with tomatoes, spinach, bell peppers, onions, watermelon, rosemary, oregano, mint, tuna, baked chicken. And when preparing Greek salad, it is simply irreplaceable!

Combinations with curd cheese

Curd (cream) cheese with a soft, creamy taste and a pasty consistency very similar to whipped fresh curd. Combines with green salads, herbs (eg basil, green onions, coriander), cucumbers, garlic, horseradish, walnuts and pine nuts, curry paste, tapenade, pears. An excellent base for making spreads on bread.

 

Combinations with feta cheese

To those who believe Bulgarian feta cheese from cow’s milk is too salty, we recommend soaking it for 1-2 hours in clean water. Cheese cheese works great in a pair with tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumbers, olives, parsley, garlic, mushrooms, smoked fish. It is good to bake and fry it in breadcrumbs.

Combinations with mozzarella

Mozzarella has a delicate, delicate taste, so we recommend not to be zealous with the originality of the combinations. The best option is with olive oil, black pepper, basil and tomatoes. You can also quickly marinate this cheese in olive oil with herbs, garlic and sun-dried tomatoes and bake.

Halloumi pairings

Salty, with a peculiar sour milk taste and smell, Cypriot cheese halumi often made from a mixture of goat and sheep milk. It goes well with smoked sausages, tomatoes, beans, garlic, anchovies, lamb. It is often served fried, grilled.

Combinations with Adyghe cheese

Adygei cheese has a fermented milk taste and curdled texture. It goes well with cucumbers, spicy herbs, olives, tomatoes, bell peppers, honey and green tea. It roasts and melts well. Salted Adyghe cheese is an excellent filling for khachapuri.

Combinations with suluguni

Suluguni – the cheese is moderately salty, spicy, dense, elastic and flaky. Combines with mint, hot corn porridge, baked peppers and eggplants, pepperoni, salmon fillet. Cheese is baked, smoked and fried.

Combinations with mascarpone

mascarpone – buttery cheese with a milky aroma and a light sour-sweet note. This dessert cheese is served with strawberries, chocolate, and with tomato paste, anchovies or mustard, it turns into a pasta seasoning. By the way, everyone can easily cook Mascarpone in their own kitchen. This does not require any special ingredients. 

Combinations with ricotta

Ricotta cheese very similar to homemade cottage cheese. Young ricotta has a delicate taste with a slight sour note. This cheese is good with fresh vegetables and fruits, honey, ham, pasta, basil, salmon, broccoli. They are superbly stuffed with pancakes and pancakes. 

Combinations with chevre goat cheese

Chevre (shavrou) – young goat cheese… It looks like slightly salted and whipped cottage cheese, soft, pressed. It goes well with olive oil, thyme, rosemary, zucchini, bell peppers. It is used as a filling for open pies or small baked goods, but our product is quite expensive (especially in ash), so eat it just like that – no culinary tricks.
