Ibalgin Sport is a topical preparation for the treatment of inflammatory symptoms of acute and chronic rheumatoid diseases, pains related to osteoarthritis and spine. The cream is also used as an aid in superficial thrombophlebitis, migratory phlebitis, varicose vein inflammation and local lesions caused by obliterative treatment of varicose veins.

Ibalgin Sport – indications and dosage

Ibalgin Sport is an over-the-counter cream used in:

  1. local treatment of inflammatory symptoms of acute and chronic rheumatoid diseases,
  2. pains related to degeneration of the joints and spine,
  3. superficial thrombophlebitis (as an adjuvant),
  4. wandering vein inflammation,
  5. inflammation of varicose veins,
  6. local changes caused by obliteration treatment of varicose veins,
  7. preventing hardening of the skin (caused by venous insufficiency),
  8. treatment of tendinitis, muscle and fascia inflammation,
  9. treatment after injuries, in contusions caused, for example, by active physical exertion (edema, contusions, traumatic hematomas, joint injuries, damage to periarticular tissues).

Dosage

Ibalgin Sport is a cream for topical application on the skin. Apply a 1 mm thick layer of cream to the skin of the diseased area and spread it thoroughly. In the treatment of venous diseases or extensive hematomas, it is recommended to apply a pressure dressing. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of the drug, and wash your hands thoroughly after each use.

Ibalgin Sport and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Ibalgin Sport cream are:

  1. hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, heparinoids or any of the ingredients of the preparation,
  2. an asthma attack
  3. hives or allergic rhinitis after a history of acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
  4. use on open wounds,
  5. use on the affected skin,
  6. use on mucous membranes and eyes.

Ibalgin Sport – warnings

The cautions regarding Ibalgin Sport are as follows:

  1. When using the preparation, avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes (it is intended for external use only).
  2. Do not use the preparation on large skin areas (if ESR results are elevated), because the use of the cream may affect their value.
  3. Treatment should be discontinued in the event of an allergic reaction.
  4. In the first and second trimesters of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, the cream can be used only after consulting a doctor.
  5. It is not recommended to use the preparation in the third trimester of pregnancy.
  6. Ibalgin Sport is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.

Ibalgin Sport with other drugs

  1. Do not use Ibalgin Sport with topical medications containing tetracycline and hydrocortisone.
  2. The anticoagulant effect of the preparation is enhanced by acetylsalicylic acid.

Ibalgin Sport – side effects

While using Ibalgin Sport may occur: transient erythema, rash, local hypersensitivity reactions (skin swelling, redness, itching, urticaria).
