Did your dishwasher wash the appliances, but stopped at the stage of draining the water? Is error 20 on the display of the Electrolux dishwasher? In a PMM without a display, the END indicator may flash twice with intervals of several seconds. To find out what the causes of the problem will be, decoding the code on the screen will help. You can see the value in the instructions, as well as in our article.

How to fix the problem

First, let’s figure out why the Electrolux dishwasher gives an I20 error code. Modern models are equipped with a self-diagnosis system. It works in the event of a breakdown, highlighting the icons on the scoreboard. So the user can quickly identify and fix the problem.

PMM brand “Electrolux” may show an error in such cases:

  1. Within one minute there is no discharge of waste water.
  2. Drain filter clogged.
  3. Drain pump malfunction.
  4. Clogged or twisted drain pipe, hose.
  5. The pressure switch broke.

The drain filter is often clogged with food debris, small debris, glass fragments. Therefore, it is important to clean twice a month.

What to do and how to fix the situation? Eliminate system failure by resetting the error:

  • unplug the plug from the socket for 10-15 minutes;
  • reconnect and look at the screen.

Are the icons showing up again? Then take decisive action:

  • inspect the drain hose – it should be level, without kinks;
  • shut off the water supply and disconnect the hose from the sewer (siphon);
  • remove blockage.

Also, the cause of the breakdown may be in the pressure switch or drain pump. Then you need to completely disconnect the car from communications, turn it over and put it on the back wall, opening access to the bottom. Next, remove the cover (if any) and gain access to the pump and water level sensor. You can inspect and test parts, and replace them when broken.

Follow the rules of operation, carry out timely cleaning of the PMM to avoid problems with blockages. Read about other errors of Electrolux dishwashers in a separate article.
