Ailments related to allergic conjunctivitis can effectively make life difficult – I know it from the autopsy because, unfortunately, I experience them every year with the arrival of the first spring days. There are many allergy relief eye drops on the market, EKTIN® drops are one of them – what do I think about them? Are they actually as effective as the manufacturer promises?

EKTIN ® eye drops – composition, action and application

EKTIN ® eye drops are eye drops containing natural ectoine and hyaluronic acid which support treatment and prevent symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. These drops reduce the watery, itchy and red eyes associated with allergies. They can be used by people wearing contact lenses as well as pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

My impressions after using EKTIN drops

I have been allergic as far as I can remember – although spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year, runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes and pinching my eyes effectively hinder my daily functioning. If I were for every question, “Why are you crying? Something happened?” I was getting a zloty, I would be a millionaire. But unfortunately – March and April (because these are the months of alder and hazel pollen to which I am allergic) pass by oral allergy medications and eye drops that try to bring my eyes to a relative function and appearance – probably none of us would like 10 minutes after applying mascara to look like a panda?

Unfortunately, not all allergic conjunctivitis drops work for me. For this reason, I was eager to test EKTIN ® eye drops – I used them every day for almost three weeks. What are my impressions? After taking the drops out of the carton, my attention was drawn to a plastic, quite large applicator – I have never encountered one like this before. As it turned out later, it made applying the drops to the eye much easier. I didn’t have to squeeze the bottle (with the fear that I would pour out half the bottle), the applicator measured every drop perfectly. As a result, the product is actually, as promised by the manufacturer, very efficient.

How do I assess the effect of the drops? After a few minutes of use, the drops eliminate redness, reduce tearing and burning eyes. I also checked whether the drops really prevent the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis – I agree with this 100%. I think that the photos before and after applying the drops speak for themselves – the eyes were visibly less red after a while and stopped tearing so much.
